Social Media Strategy for Papers 03/14/2009

Appreciated receiving a tweet with a  link to a Mashable post  on how papers are using social media to save the industry.

“Social media gives any business an interactive channel to communicate with its current and future customers. For newspapers, that channel can increase the chances of survival in a market where commoditized information has diminished the value of individual brands,” wrote Woody Lewis, a social media strategist and Web architect.

Another useful post added Thursday on Mashable was Dan Schawbel’s “Top Ten Social Networks for Entrepreneurs.”

“Looking for a job? Consider creating your own. There are a number of social resources to help you connect with other entrepreneurs and get your business ideas off the ground,” wrote Schawbel, an author and owner of the Personal Branding Blog.
