Since 1993, more than 61 million gift-filled shoe boxes have been delivered around the world to children living in desperate situations. Last year, almost 7.7 million shoe boxes were collected; 4.6 million in the United States.
The shoe boxes were packed, shipped and delivered to children in more than 110 countries including Afghanistan, Sudan and Venezuela. OCC is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization based in Boone, N.C.
The giftboxes may also be mailed to Samaritan’s Purse.
